The U.S. is moving F-22 fighters to Poland from Alaska to deter Russia

The United States decided to send to Poland six 4th generation F-22 fighters, which were based in Alaska.

Stars and Stripes of the US Department of Defense reports about it. It is noted that the U.S. is redeploying F-22 fighters to Poland in accordance with the decision to strengthen NATO's eastern flank, which was made at the Alliance's summit in late June amid Russia's war against Ukraine.

On Tuesday night, the fighters arrived at the Royal British Air Force's Lakenheath base, which is near its namesake in England. From there the planes will fly to the Polish town of Lask, where the 32nd tactical air base of Poland is located.
