The United States has launched the process of purchasing NASAMS air defense systems for Ukraine.
What is known
This was officially announced by the U.S. Department of Defense. At a briefing, a Pentagon spokesman said that the United States was already in the process of buying Norwegian air defense systems, but he did not disclose details of the contracts.
US may purchase NASAMS air defense systems for Ukraine appeared at the end of June, one day before the NATO summit in Madrid. On the first day of July this was officially announced.
