The AFU received three Valkyrie aircraft complexes for ₴2 million - 100 drones will be delivered by the end of the year
Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation together with ARMYA SOS handed over the first three unmanned aircraft complexes "Valkyrie" to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
What is known
The complex consists of two drones and ground control base. The cost is ₴674,000 ($18,100), which means that about ₴2,000,000 ($54,300) was paid for the three aircraft systems. One went to the 79th Brigade and two more became part of the 149th Independent Reconnaissance Battalion.
By the end of the year the ARMYA SOS and Sergey Pritula Foundation plans to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with 50 unmanned aerial vehicles, i.e. 100 drones and 50 control bases. The project will cost nearly ₴34,000,000 ($900,000).
Recall that the Valkyrie is a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle with a fixed wing and weighing 4 kg. It can operate within a radius of 34 km from the launch point. The autonomous operation time is 2 hours, the maximum speed is almost 110 km/h and the flight altitude is 2 km.
