The AFU received a new unmanned aircraft system "Furya" costing almost ₴4.3 million
The Foundation for Competent Assistance to the Army "Come Back Alive" has purchased an unmanned Furya complex for the "Azov" regiment.
What we know
The corresponding announcement was published on the official page of the organization on Facebook. One unmanned aerial complex consists of three drones and a ground control station. The cost was almost ₴4.3 million.
Furia drones have been helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces for several years. The first drone was developed in 2014 after the Russian invasion of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as the annexation of Crimea. However, it was not officially adopted by the army until April 2020.
Furia drones can reach speeds of up to 130 km/h. The takeoff weight of the drone is 5.5 kg. The drone can fly for three hours and conduct reconnaissance at any time of day. It has a range of 200 km and a range of 50 km from the launch point.
