Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully integrate AGM-88 HARM missiles into MiG-29 fighters
On August 19, the United States announced a new military assistance package for Ukraine, which included AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missiles. The Armed Forces were able to successfully integrate these missiles into MiG-29 fighters.
What we know
The AGM-88 HARMs are designed for the A-6 Intruder, F-4 Phantom II, F-16 Fighting Falcon and F/A-18 Hornet. As you understood, the Ukrainian Air Force does not have any of them. However, the Pentagon stated that Ukraine was able to successfully integrate missiles into MiG fighters thanks to the help of American specialists.
The Air Force has only one MiG in service, a MiG-29. How exactly the AGM-88 HARM was integrated is not specified at this time. One of the options is to obtain spare parts from partner countries.
