Happy Independence Day, everybody: Boris Johnson announces £54 million military aid package for Ukraine - 850 Black Hornet Nano microdrones, kamikaze drones and anti-tank ammunition
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has once again not arrived in Ukraine empty-handed.
Here's What We Know
Boris Johnson announced a new military aid package in honor of Ukraine's Independence Day. It includes barrage ammunition, anti-tank shells, and Black Hornet Nanodrones, which we wrote about a few hours ago.
At the time of writing, there was no information about the micro drones. However, the British government website already states that Ukraine will receive 850 miniature drones from Teledyne FLIR LLC.
Each drone can transmit video and photos in real time. It takes only 20 minutes to train military personnel to operate the Black Hornet Nanodrones . The drones themselves weigh 16 grams and can fly for 2 hours.
