It's official: Embracer Group has acquired Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montreal, Square Enix Montreal and catalog IPs such as Tomb Rider and Deus Ex for $300 million
Back in early May, Embracer Group announced the acquisition of Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montreal, and Square Enix Montreal. Today the holding company also announced the successful closing of the agreement.
Here's What We Know
Swedish holding company Embracer announced that all conditions of the transaction, including regulatory approvals, have been met. Thus, Embracer completed the acquisition today. The holding company acquired the rights to a catalog of IPs, including Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Thief, Legacy of Kain and others. And Eidos Montreal Studios, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix Montreal became part of Embracer. The amount of the deal is $300 million.
