American F-22 Raptor fighters will be redeployed to Souda airbase on the island of Crete, where the 115th air regiment of the Greek Air Force is located.
Here's What We Know
For a long time F-22 Raptor have been used only in the United States, but now Washington is increasingly sending fighters to other countries. The planes made their overseas debut a few years ago in Syria. In addition, 12 fighters recently landed in Poland.
The U.S. Department of Defense is cautious about security issues, so we find out a few days or even hours before the planes are sent. The number of F-22 Raptor fighters that will be flown to Crete is not specified yet.
