New Kickstarter hit: Loona, a pet robot cutie who can sneeze, scratch, beatbox, and dance
KEYi Tech has unveiled one of the most adorable pet robots on Kickstarter, the Loona.
Details
It is a small robotic companion designed to entertain and interact with people, especially children. Equipped with animated facial expressions, it can recognize faces, movements, gestures, emotions, voices and objects (so it doesn't run over them). It's also very happy to be stroked.
In addition, this cutie can entertain itself: it sneezes, scratches, easily walks around your house and even investigates suspicious objects, and can also beatbox, dance and pose for pictures.
Loona understands voice commands through the Amazon Lex service.
Loona is a success on Kickstarter: the developers set a goal of $20,000, and have already raised more than $675,000 (at the time of this writing), although there are still 42 days until the end of the collection. The robot will cost $450, but you can buy it on Kickstarter from $269.
