Working on mistakes: Microsoft Surface Pro 9 has become the most repairable gadget in the series in recent years

About a month ago, Microsoft unveiled the Surface Pro 9 tablet, which recently went on sale with a price starting at $1,000. Experts from iFixit got to the novelty, showed its disassembly in a video and evaluated its repairability.

Here's What's New About It

"For ages, Microsoft’s Surface Pros were about the least repairable tablets on the market, thanks largely to the tenacious glue used under the screen — a battery or SSD replacement would sometimes mean breaking the display. Today we’ve got the Surface Pro 9 on our teardown table and we’re excited to see what’s inside!" say iFixit.

And all thanks to the fact that Microsoft has done a great job on the bugs and changed the assembly process. There is much less glue, the battery is attached only with screws, the SSD is removable, though not the most common format.

As a result, Microsoft Surface Pro 9 got 7 out of 10 points for maintainability and the title of the most repairable Surface device.
