Tesla Energy unveiled the largest Megapack storage facility in continental Europe - it has a capacity of 100 MWh and will replace a 70-year-old turbine generator from World War II
Tesla unveiled a new Megapack storage facility in Europe. It is located in the Belgian city of Lessin.
Here's What We Know
The new storage facility is one of the largest in Europe and the largest if we talk about the continental part only. It consists of 40 Megapack units. The total capacity is 100 MW*h and the capacity is 50 MW.

The project replaces an old World War II-era turbine generator that has been in operation here since the middle of the last century. Using Tesla Energy's batteries will not only achieve cleaner storage, but also increase the amount of renewable energy.
Europe's largest energy storage system based on Tesla Megapack batteries is in the UK - the Pillswood project. The storage has a capacity of 196Wh and will be able to power 300,000 homes for two hours.
