Portugal will hand over three Leopard 2A6 tanks to Ukraine in March
Portugal has revealed when and how many tanks it will hand over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

So, according to the country's Defence Ministry, Portugal will transfer three Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. It is a modification of the Leopard 2A6. Weapon deliveries will begin in March. By the way, in addition to Portugal, German defence minister tells when Ukraine will receive 14 Leopard 2 tanks.

The Leopard 2 is the main battle tank. It was created by the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. The Leopard 2 is the successor to the Leopard 1 main battle tank. The Leopard 2 has many modifications and is used by the armed forces of Austria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, and Turkey. A total of 3,200 tanks of this model have been produced.
