France secretly supplied Ukraine with 5th generation Akeron MP self-propelled missiles with a range of up to 5km

The French government has been secretly supplying the Ukrainian Armed Forces with modern Akeron MP (aka Missile Moyenne Rogtee aka MMP) anti-tank missile systems.

Jean-Louis Thieriot, Vice-President of the French National Defence and Armed Forces Commission, told Opexnews. An unnamed number of ATGMs have been transferred to Ukraine as part of military assistance. The weapons have proved effective in combat.

The Akeron MP is a French 5th generation lightweight multipurpose missile system. It has a 15kg missile and can hit targets up to 5km away. The missile can be launched manually or from a vehicle. The main feature of the Akeron MP is the missile's infrared optical homing system.
