Spain begins repairing Leopard 2 tanks for Ukraine and launches training programme for Ukrainian crews
Spain recently promised to hand over its Leopard 2 tanks to the Armed Forces, and has now announced that it is starting to repair the equipment.

Spanish Defence Minister Margarita Robles told La Vanguardia. We are talking about Leopard 2A4 and Leopard 2A6 tanks. In the next few days the overhaul will be completed and then the tanks will be handed over to the AFU. Incidentally, Spain has already launched a training programme for Ukrainian crews. Now 55 servicemen are taking part in it.

Spain intends to transfer 10 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. In addition, the AFU will also receive 14 tanks from Poland, 8 tanks from Canada, 18 tanks from Germany, 10 tanks from Sweden, 3 tanks from Portugal, and 8 tanks from Norway. Poland has already handed over the first batch of Leopard 2 tanks.
