Huawei P60 Pro is the world's best camera phone, setting records in seven DxOMark categories

In early April, the OPPO Find X6 Pro topped DxOMark's ranking of the best camera phones. The record lasted for a month. Now the title of the world's best camera phone has gone to Huawei P60 Pro.

Here's What We Know

A DxOMark press release states that the smartphone topped the ranking due to its excellent zoom and improved video recording quality compared to the previous generation. The benchmark scored 118, 119, 120 and 80 for exposure, colour, autofocus and background blur respectively, which is a record.

The telephoto lens scored 118 and the ultra wide-angle camera scored 119. These too are the best scores of any smartphone. Another record is 117 points for the optical stabilisation performance during video recording.

Overall, the Huawei P60 Pro got 159 points for photo mode and 147 points for video recording. The overall score is 156 points. Our hero is 3 points ahead of the OPPO Find X6 Pro model, which topped the ranking during the month.

When it comes to the technical component, the Huawei P60 Pro has a versatile camera with wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle modules and a telephoto lens. The resolution is respectively 48 MP (RYYB, 24.5mm, f/1.4-4, AF, OIS). 13 MP (13mm, f/2.2, AF) and 48 MP (90mm, f/2.1, AF). The smartphone supports shooting 4K UHD video at 60 FPS.
