Honor Play 40 - budget smartphone with Snapdragon 480+ and 90Hz display, priced from $190
Together with the Honor X50 and X50i, the Chinese company has unveiled another new smartphone. The second smartphone is called Honor Play 40.
Here's What We Know
The Honor Play 40 is a representative of the budget class. The wide frames in the large drop-shaped cutout say it right away. The screen parameters are also quite modest - TFT LCD and HD+. But there is an increased frame rate (90Hz). The diagonal is 6.56".
The Snapdragon 480+ 5G chip with up to 2.2 GHz and Adreno 619 GPU acts as the hardware base. The processor is complemented by 6/8GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 128/256GB. Also in the arsenal is a 5200mAh battery with no fast charging.
The Honor Play 40 has two modest cameras. On the back, there's a dual 13 MP + 2 MP phase-autofocus system, but no optical stabilisation. The selfie camera has a resolution of 5 MP. Both can shoot videos in Full HD.
The smartphone gets a headphone jack, Wi-Fi 5. Bluetooth 5.1 and USB-C. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the side. NFC and stereo speakers are missing. The software platform is represented by Magic UI 7.1 and Android 13 firmware.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Honor Play 40 is already available for purchase in China. The smartphone starts at $190 for the 6/128GB modification.
