Assistant Go for budget smartphones appeared in the Google Play store
In December 2017, Google introduced Android Oreo (Go edition) for budget smartphones . There should also include special versions of the company's branded applications, including the Assistant's voice assistant. Now the cut-down version was available in the online store Google.
Reduced Capabilities
The Assistant Go application looks almost identical to its full-fledged brother, but a number of restrictions were introduced into the program. So Google's voice buddy for budget smartphones does not support Action Actions on Google and Device Actions, can not set reminders and is not able to connect to smart home devices.
Or maybe not
Judging by the description of Google to Assistant Go, the above features are not yet available. Here the main word is "bye." It is possible that the restrictions do not work just now, while the fresh program has just come out, and then all the missing functions will be added. If this is the case, then another question arises: how does Assistant Go differ from Google Assistant? And while you're thinking, Assistant Go is already available for download in the Google Play store.
