The new iPad will receive Animoji support and improved multitasking

Apple plans to add Animoji to the new iPad version and the application for Facetime calls.

Animoji will appear in the new iPad, which supports Face ID technology. The company also plans to add animated "emoticons" to the Facetime application. Innovations will appear with the release of iOS 12 and unified programs for the iPhone, iPad and Mac. In Apple they want to optimize applications , so that they work equally on the company's main platforms.

For the iPad, they will also add tabs inside the application. So, users will be able to run multiple tabs within the same application. Previously it was available only in browsers, but recently such an opportunity appeared in macOS.
