Apple plans to unify applications for macOS and iOS in the fall of 2018.
What is known
Prior to this, the Cupertino players planned to merge the App Store and the Mac App Store, but eventually they decided to reject the idea. Apple is confident that their computers and tablets are similar and it will be more logical to unify applications for these platforms.
It is reported that the "merger" of applications will occur in the fall of 2018, after the release of iOS 12 and macOS 10.14. It should be noted that the programs originally created for the iPhone will not be unified.
