Publisher Square Enix has revealed the timeline for the open beta testing of the Xbox Series version of the multiplayer RPG Final Fantasy XIV.

Users of the American console will be able to try out the performance of the popular game from mid-January to February 2024.

Final Fantasy XIV is scheduled for a full release on the Xbox Series in spring 2024, shortly before the release of the major Dawntrail expansion.
This event will be the starting point for a tight collaboration between Square Enix and Microsoft. Moreover, many insiders believe that some future Square Enix games could become Xbox console exclusives, as the company is considering dropping its partnership with Sony in favour of a US partner.
