YouTube Music now lets you create playlist artwork using generative AI
YouTube
Streaming service YouTube Music has given users the ability to generate personalised artwork for their playlists based on artificial intelligence.
Here's What We Know
To create a cover, you need to tap on the pen icon in the app in the bottom right corner of the playlist. Next, you can select a category, such as "animals", "travel" or "nature".
You can then tap "randomise" or select one of the prompts, for example "pug in medieval gothic style". The system will generate five cover variants, from which you have to choose your favourite.
For now, the feature is only available to English-speaking users in the US, but YouTube promises to expand it to other regions and languages.
Previously, the service automatically created a playlist cover by combining the first four tracks. The new feature allows for a more personalised design.
