Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 began to update to Android 8.0 Oreo
Back in February we wrote that Samsung is working on Android 8.0 Oreo for several devices, including the Galaxy Tab S3 tablet. Now the company has finished development and has released an OTA-update.
What is known
Update came out for two versions of the tablet: SM-T820 (Wi-Fi) and SM-T825 (Wi-Fi + LTE). In the firmware there is a new version of the Samsung Experience 9.0 interface, as well as all the innovations of Android 8.0 Oreo: notification points, autocomplete, picture-in-picture function and much more. In addition to this, an April security patch was installed and added support for Dolby Atmos technology.
So far, users of the tablet in the UK have received a fresh version of the OS. In the near future, the update will also be available in other European countries.
Characteristics
Recall, the tablet came out at the beginning of last year. It has a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2048 × 1536 pixels, a Snapdragon 820 processor, a 6000 mAh battery and stereo speakers. Also in the tablet is installed 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory and support for microSD cards up to 256 GB.
