iPhone and iPad users can now use Shazam to identify songs in apps without removing their headphones

Apple recently released a new version of the Shazam application for iPhone and iPad, in which it added a useful innovation.

Here's What We Know

We're talking about Shazam 17.3. Thanks to the update, users can now open the app to identify the song that's playing in their headphones. What's interesting is that the new feature also works for music that is playing near you or in another app. For example, on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

When We Can Expect It

The new version of Shazam is already available on the Apple Store.

Flashback

Apple announced the purchase of Shazam in December 2017. The deal was finalised in September 2018 after being approved by regulators.
