Hollow Home, a game about the Russian siege of Mariupol, wins Best Game of the Conference at the Indie Blast Awards

The Indie Blast Awards development competition, where 60 teams from different countries took part, has come to an end, and now the organisers have announced the winners.

Here's What We Know

The nomination for the Best Game of the Conference and $1 000 from Games Gathering went to Twigames with their project Hollow Home.

Hollow Home is an isometric narrative role-playing game. The player takes on the role of 14-year-old Maxim. It all begins on 23 February 2022 in Mariupol, which, as we all know, will be levelled to the ground by Russian troops the next day during a full-scale offensive against Ukraine. So the authors from Twigames Inc. will tell the story of a city that was disappearing before our eyes and the people who are trying to survive in Mariupol.

The game also won the Game Star by MK:translations nomination. The authors will receive assistance in localising the game into Ukrainian and one additional language of their choice from MK:translations.
