Contract worth 60 million euros: NATO orders a batch of Carl Gustaf grenade launchers from Saab

The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) has ordered Carl Gustaf Swedish grenade launchers from Saab.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by the manufacturer. We are talking about a contract worth 60 million euros. The order was placed on behalf of four NATO member states. Deliveries of grenade launchers are scheduled for 2024-2027. Unfortunately, Saab did not disclose the model of the grenade launcher. We can only assume that the contract will include a modern version of the M4.

Flashback

The Carl Gustaf M4 supports the use of programmable ammunition and boasts the FCD 558 fire control system. The grenade launcher has an adjustable shoulder rest and an adjustable barrel handle support. Unlike other variants, the M4 can be carried loaded. The grenade launcher is capable of engaging targets up to 1 kilometre away.
