It was hard, but they pulled it off: the developers of Cities Skylines 2 have released the Beach Properties add-on as the worst product on Steam
Two days ago, publisher Paradox Interactive and studio Colossal Order released the first DLC for Cities Skylines 2 and added official support for custom modifications to the game.
The add-on and update were supposed to fix at least some of the numerous shortcomings of the city-building strategy, but somehow things only got worse.
Here's What We Know
Gamers heavily criticised the first Beach Properties add-on. They noted that the buildings and decorations added by the developers do not correspond to the beach theme, and in general DLC does not bring any gameplay innovations, as it was in the first part.
As a result, the Beach Properties add-on not only turned out to be unsuccessful, but also became the lowest-rated product in Steam among all the games and add-ons presented in the service, and there are more than 70 thousand of them!
Only 4% of users left positive reviews, but even in them there are no recommendations to buy DLC.
