Xiaomi SU7 electric car broke down after 39 kilometres of driving
Xiaomi recently started selling its first car, the Xiaomi SU7, which is already in demand. But with the great popularity came the first problems with the electric car.
Here's What We Know
The owner of one of the Xiaomi SU7 electric cars posted a video of his car breaking down after only 39 kilometres of driving. He towed the car back to the delivery centre, but after an initial inspection, no problems were found. The after-sales staff offered him to return the car for diagnostics, but he insisted on a replacement. The customer said he purchased the standard version of the Xiaomi SU7 car from a Xiaomi car delivery centre in Xiamen City, Xiangan District.
The after-sales staff informed the owner that the car had to be returned to the factory for further analysis so that the company could find out the cause of the breakdown. They also clarified that the car could not be repaired immediately.
However, the car owner insisted on a replacement. Fortunately, after an internal request, Xiaomi's after-sales staff agreed to offer a replacement to the user. They also said that many customers were currently placing orders and the company could not promise to deliver the replacement in a short time. For the time spent waiting for the replacement vehicle to be delivered, the company has offered compensation for transport costs (150 yuan cash or equivalent number of points per day, customer's choice).
