The Google Phone app already supports reverse number search via Google Search

Have you ever wished you could quickly find information on Google for a specific phone number? For example, if an unknown number calls you and you want to find out who it is. Google has simplified this process by adding the Lookup feature to the Google Phone app.

Here's What We Know

The Google Phone app for Pixel devices has been updated, giving users a new reverse number lookup feature. Now, if an unknown number calls you, you can quickly find out who it is thanks to the new Lookup option. This feature launches an instant Google search for the number the call came from, helping to identify the source of the call.

Previously, to find information about an unknown number, you had to do several things: copy the number from your call history, paste it into the Google search bar, and click the search button. Now, however, all you have to do is tap on an unknown number in your call history and a new Search feature will appear next to the Add, Message, and History options.

This update is part of the latest Pixel Feature Drop and is rolled out server-side, so users don't need to update the app manually. Just wait a few hours or days and the new feature will appear on their devices. It's a small but meaningful improvement for the user experience, saving time and effort when identifying unknown calls.
