A new app lock feature may be coming to One UI 7.0
Samsung's One UI shell is considered to be one of the most feature-rich and has several privacy protections such as Knox Folder and Samsung Pass. However, it has been reported that Samsung might add another simple but important feature to the One UI 7.0 shell.
Here's What We Know
According to insider @tarunvats33, the One UI 7.0 update may include the long-awaited app lock feature. It will allow you to set passwords on any applications in the system. It is expected that the innovation will simplify the protection of personal information without the need to configure Knox, which requires re-installation of applications.

As you can see in the screenshot, a new App Lock item has been spotted under one of the system's apps, which will allow you to put a password on the app. However, it's worth taking this information with caution, as an insider doesn't always accurately predict new features.
For users who want an easy way to lock apps without creating new instances in the secure Knox folder, the new App Lock feature could be a godsend. It's not yet clear if it will be included in the One UI 6.1.1 interim update or if it will appear in One UI 7.0.
