The Premiere 7 and The Premiere 9 laser 4K projectors will feature a SmartThings hub and increased brightness up to 3450 lumens ISO
At the IFA exhibition in Berlin, Samsung presented two laser ultra-short throw projectors , The Premiere 7 and The Premiere 9. This is the first update to The Premiere series after 2021, when the first projector was premiered (we have a review of The Premiere on our website). This time, the manufacturer decided to make not two modifications of one projector, but two models called The Premiere 7 and The Premiere 9, which indirectly indicates the growing demand for ultra-short throw laser 4K projectors. Which is logical, since they provide images with diagonals that exceed the capabilities of any TV: 120 inches for The Premiere 7 and 130 inches for The Premiere 9.
The main difference between the new products is the triple laser in The Premiere 9, which is capable of delivering 3450 lumens ISO brightness and sharper images. In contrast, The Premiere 7 is designed for 2500 lumens ISO. In both cases, the projectors guarantee 154% and 100% colour gamut coverage of the DCI-P3 standard and support HDR10+. The image is enhanced by Vision Booster AI scaling algorithms that can increase the clarity of video content up to 4K and automatically adjust the brightness and contrast levels in different conditions (trained neural networks are involved).
The Premiere 9 projector has a powerful speaker system with 40-watt 2.2.2-channel speakers. The capabilities of The Premiere 7 are more modest and limited to 30-watt 2.2-channel speakers. In both cases, the manufacturer promises surround sound and emphasises that both models are capable of working in sound reproduction mode and replacing a home speaker system or smart speaker. And you can send a photo or stream video or audio from your Samsung smartphone by simply holding your phone to the projector.
Samsung also continues its partnership with Danish textile manufacturer Kvadrat and uses its materials for the design of new projectors, which gives the devices a premium design.
Like the previous model, the new products run on the Tizen operating system, which provides users with the same features as Samsung's smart TVs. Starting from this year, the new Premiere projectors will have support for a hub for SmartThings ecosystem devices (just like TVs). This will allow you to control smart home devices and set up automatic scenarios for home gadgets such as lighting, security systems, and climate control equipment.
Of course, all the capabilities of modern Samsung smart TVs remain, such as working with streaming audio and video services and creating interior images. You can see how this works in Samsung projectors in The Freestyle review.
According to Samsung, the new projectors The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 will be available in Ukraine by the end of the year. The gg editorial team hopes to share more about their impressions of the new products in a review as soon as possible.
