Apple has added support for finding lost items through the Find My feature in the new version of iOS 18.2.

Here's What We Know

This option allows airlines to help their passengers track lost luggage using special links. Among the airlines that already support this feature are British Airways, Lufthansa, Aer Lingus, and many others. The feature is currently available on 14 airlines, including United, Delta, Air Canada, Turkish Airlines and others.

After the update to iOS 18.2, Share Item Location allows you to create links to track items that can be opened not only on Apple devices, but also on other devices via a browser.

The links are valid for a week and can be viewed by multiple people. Support for this functionality will also be added to airlines:

  • United Airlines
  • Delta Air Lines
  • British Airways
  • Lufthansa
  • Air Canada
  • Air New Zealand
  • Turkish Airlines
  • Aer Lingus
  • Austrian Airlines
  • Brussels Airlines
  • Swiss International Air Lines

  • Iberia Airlines

The following airlines are also planning to add support for this feature: Qantas, Virgin Atlantic, Singapore Airlines, KLM, Royal Dutch Airlines.
