Garmin announces beta update 22.12 for Forerunner smartwatches with training improvements and new features
Garmin has announced the release of the beta version of the 22.12 update for its Forerunner series smartwatches. This is the first update in the 22.xx cycle to be made available since the stable version of the software, 21.20.

The beta version will be available for the Forerunner 165, Forerunner 255, Forerunner 265, Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965.
The new update brings several important functionality improvements, including for the popular Garmin Run Coach and Garmin Cycling Coach apps. Users will now be able to receive additional strength training, which will help them improve their overall fitness. Changes have also been made to the Training Readiness indicator, which measures the body's readiness for training. This indicator will now be updated throughout the day.
The 22.12 update also adds support for new types of sensor connections, which will make it easier to connect more accessories and improve the accuracy of tracking physical performance during training.

Another important change is support for additional apps from the Connect IQ store and new watch faces.
Garmin also paid considerable attention to bug fixes. In particular, the update fixes touchscreen issues that could occur when interacting with the watch. The update also fixed the activity notification settings, which are now more stable, and the Hot Keys function has become more convenient.
For the Forerunner 265 and 965 models, the update includes an improved display of notification icons, which will make it easier to work with notifications directly from the watch.
The 22.12 beta update is not yet available for all users, but you can manually install it by going to the watch settings menu: Main menu, Settings, System, Software update, Check for updates.
