Minecraft is getting an important update that will add two new types of pigs to the game!
Minecraft developers have prepared the first update of 2025, which is already in the testing process. Starting 8 January, players can try out six new features that will diversify the game.
Here's What We Know
This update will introduce two new types of pigs: a cold pig and a warm pig. These new species will complement the regular pig, which has been present in the game for 15 years. Cold pigs can be found in subzero biomes, while warm pigs live in sandy biomes.

In addition, forest biomes will receive an upgrade with three new atmospheric elements: falling leaves, fallen leaves, and wild flowers. Falling leaves will be present in all forest biomes, while fallen leaves will be present only in dark forests and forested wastelands. The wild flowers that can be found in meadows and birch forests will add a splash of colour to your surroundings.
Another interesting change will be a simplified recipe for making magnetic blocks - lodestones - that will help you navigate the world of Minecraft. Now you only need iron ingots and carved bricks to create them.

All of these innovations are already available for testing in the Java version of the game, and some of them can also be found in the Bedrock beta. And now we are waiting for the official release of the update.
