The German government has updated the list of military aid handed over to Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

Since the end of December 2024, the Bundeswehr has transferred an impressive amount of weapons and equipment to Ukraine, including 600 attack drones and 14 thousand artillery shells.

In particular, during this period Ukraine received:

  • 20 vehicles with defence against mines and ambushes,
  • 14 thousand shells of 155 mm calibre;
  • 19 thousand of 122 mm calibre;
  • 600 HF-1 attack drones;
  • ammunition for Leopard 1 tanks;
  • 50 VECTOR reconnaissance drones;
  • 46 RQ-35 HEIDRUN reconnaissance drones;
  • 43 SONGBIRD reconnaissance drones.

In addition, Germany will soon hand over to the AFU 5 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 9 RCT-30 Boxer wheeled infantry fighting vehicles, 277 mine- and ambush-protected vehicles and 18 RCH 155 self-propelled artillery units.

Importantly, during his visit to Kyiv, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius announced Germany' s decision to transfer 60 additional missiles to Ukraine for IRIS-T air defence systems worth about 60 million euros.
