CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, shared his vision of the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the video game industry. He believes that AI will contribute to the growth of employment and productivity.

Here's What We Know

In a recent interview, Zelnick noted that AI is just another digital tool that, like previous technologies, will help to improve work efficiency. He emphasised that historically, digital technologies have contributed to an increase in employment and gross domestic product (GDP), and expects AI to continue this trend.

At the same time, Zelnick stressed the importance of respecting intellectual property rights when using AI. He noted that the company is careful to ensure that the technologies used do not infringe on other people's copyrights and allow it to protect its own developments.

This optimistic view of AI is shared by other industry leaders. For example, Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, previously noted that generative AI could make the company 30% more efficient and increase monetisation by 20% within five years.
