MediaTek has unveiled a new Dimensity 6400 chipset, but how new is it?

MediaTek has unveiled its new Dimensity 6400 chipset, which is a slight update to last year's Dimensity 6300.
Here's What We Know
The chipset uses TSMC's 6nm process and an octa-core configuration similar to its predecessor, with two Cortex-A76 cores up to 2.5GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. The Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU remains unchanged and is suitable for casual gaming and multimedia consumption.
The Dimensity 6400 supports displays with resolutions up to 2520 x 1080 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The chipset also features an image processor that supports cameras up to 108 MP and dual 16 MP + 16 MP cameras. Up to 2133MHz LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage are supported. Dimensity 6400 supports both SA and NSA 5G, with a peak download speed of 3.3Gbps and 5G dual SIM functionality.
The first Dimensity 6400-based smartphone will be the Realme P3x 5G smartphone, which will be released in India on 18 February.
