Philips Hue Sync app available for LG TVs

Starting 25 February 2025, LG TV owners can download the Philips Hue Sync TV app. This app allows users to synchronise the lighting in their homes with what they see on the screen
Here's What We Know
Signify, the parent company of Philips Hue, announced the expansion of the app to LG TVs in January this year. The app is now available in the LG TV app store. Previously, Hue Sync was limited to Samsung TVs.
The app costs $130 without a subscription or $3 per month. It is compatible with LG Smart 2024 TVs that run on webOS 24. Although the price may seem high, it is still a better deal compared to the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box, which costs $350.
The Philips Hue Sync app functions similarly to the Sync Box, changing the colours and brightness of the Hue lighting based on games, TV shows, and movies. Users can choose between special modes for movies and games. The app requires a Philips Hue Bridge, at least one Philips Hue colour bulb, and internet access.
This new product allows you to create a unique atmospheric experience while watching your favourite films or games by harmoniously integrating lighting with video content.
Philips has recently announced a new flagship OLED+950 TV with 3,700 nits of brightness and enhanced colour reproduction
