Kensington has won the IF Design Award 2025 for the design of the Expert Mouse TB800 EQ Multi-Connection Trackball wireless mouse.

Here's What We Know

Unlike a standard computer mouse, the Expert Mouse TB800 EQ Multi-Connection Trackball doesn't need to be moved around the desk - it's controlled via a trackball placed in the centre. Around the ball is a ring, which replaces the mouse wheel, for scrolling through pages.

In addition, the gadget has a set of buttons and two additional rollers on the right and left end sides. The mouse connects to the computer via Bluetooth and USB-dongle. It is claimed to support up to three devices simultaneously.

Here's how Kensington describes its design:

The trackball is an ergonomic data entry solution that reduces strain and fatigue when working at a computer for long periods of time. Unlike a traditional mouse, the trackball is a stationary input device, making it ideal for use on desktops or surfaces with limited space.

It is not yet known whether such a mouse will go on sale, but it is likely to happen, as Kensington already has a similar gadget in its product catalogue, but with fewer buttons.

The Infinite Laptop concept recently won the IF Design Award 2025: its screen is enlarged by horizontal expansion.
