Instagram allows you to watch Reels videos at 2x the speed of TikTok
Meta has announced a new feature for Instagram users that will allow them to watch Reels videos faster. This will be convenient for those who like short videos on the platform that competes with TikTok.
Here's What We Know
With the new update, users will be able to watch videos on Reels at double the speed. To do this, simply press and hold one side of the screen while watching a video. This will allow you to skip parts of the content and save time when watching longer videos.
Previously, the maximum length of an Instagram video was only 15 seconds, but recently, videos on Reels can be watched for longer. This has led to many users wanting to be able to skip or speed up their viewing. Now, Instagram, like TikTok, has added a fast-forward option, which will make it possible to reduce the time spent watching.

While the new feature may be popular with users, some content creators are concerned that it will reduce the attention paid to longer videos.
In addition, Instagram is working on a new mobile video editor called Edits, which will compete with TikTok's popular CapCut app. Edits was expected to be released this month, but Meta postponed its launch.
Instagram is available for free download on the App Store and Google Play. To use the new features, you need to update the app to the latest version.
As a reminder, Facebook is bringing back the old Friends tab.
