Media: The Legend of Zelda film adaptation will start a trilogy of films - the first part will be shot in New Zealand

So, the world premiere of the Zelda film adaptation will take place on 26 March 2027, but now additional details have emerged about the plans for the film adaptation of the iconic game series.
Here's What We Know
According to specialist portal Production List, run by the Film and TV Industry Alliance, filming on The Legend of Zelda will start in November 2025 and run until April 2026 and will take place in New Zealand.

The kingdom of Hyrule is under threat from Ganon, a ruthless warlord who seeks the Triforce, an ancient relic said to grant limitless power. To stop him, Link will have to embark on a dangerous journey, battling monstrous creatures, exploring treacherous dungeons and solving intricate puzzles to uncover sacred artefacts that can aid him in his quest.
In turn, a well-known film insider Daniel Richtman said that the new film will be the beginning of a trilogy, as the performers of the main roles will sign a contract for three films, which will be released within six years.
The first film will be directed by Wes Ball, the director of The Maze Runner trilogy, with The Legend of Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad, former chief creative officer of Marvel Entertainment, as producers.
