The closed alpha testing of the shooter Marathon will start on 23 April. And if you were worried that your PC would not be able to handle the game, we have good news for you.

Here's What We Know

Bungie has presented the minimum system requirements for its upcoming shooter. And for 2025, the requirements are quite modest.

Full minimum system requirements for Marathon:

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • Memory: 8 GB of RAM
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (4 GB) / AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT (4 GB) / Intel Arc A580 (8 GB)
  • Video memory (VRAM): 4 GB
  • DirectX: DirectX 12 with support for Feature Level 12_1
  • Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit

Also, to play the alpha, you will need only 6 GB of free space, which everyone has. So you don't have to worry about all these aspects.

The only problem is that the alpha is available in the United States and Canada, but according to rumours, the beta test of the Marathon shooter may start in May or June.

Marathon will be released on 23 September 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. More details about the game will be revealed in the summer.
