Warhorse is not sitting idle: Kingdom Come: Deliverance authors are preparing to start development of a new role-playing game
A few days ago, Daniel Vávra, the head of Warhorse Studios and the creator of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, expressed his hope that AI will help his team to realise ambitious creative ideas faster.
At the moment the Czech studio is busy supporting the second part of the medieval role-playing game, but it became known that the creation of a new project may begin in the near future.
Here's What We Know
Warhorse community manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling said in an interview with Japanese GameSpark that his team expects to start development of a new game in parallel with the release of updates and add-ons for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
Of course, no information about the future project was given by Stoltz-Zwilling, but he noted that "Warhorse intends to maintain its current philosophy to create deep and cinematic RPGs."
During the development of Kingdom Come: Deliverance we had about 100 employees and now we have 250 people. Most of them are currently working on Kingdom Come: Deliverance II add-ons. In the future, we plan to expand the development team to 300 people and start creating the next RPG in parallel with DLC for the KCD sequel. We haven't decided exactly when we will start production yet. Right now we just want to continue creating emotional, cinematic RPGs with a deep story.
We would like to remind you that recently Tobias Stolz-Zwilling said that Warhorse has no plans to release a remaster of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and the head of the studio dreams of making a Viking game about Vikings. Undoubtedly, this idea would meet with great approval from the public! Who knows, maybe just such a game will be the next in Warhorse Studios' portfolio.
