Galaxy Watch 8 received FCC certification: what is known about the new product
Samsung is preparing to launch its new Galaxy Watch 8 smartwatch, and its model has recently appeared on the FCC certification list. This means that the device is already in the home stretch and may appear on the market very soon.
Here's What We Know
According to the certification, Galaxy Watch 8 will be available in two versions: Wi-Fi (SM-L325) and LTE (SM-L335). LTE support covers numerous bands, including FDD 2/4/5/7/12/13/14/25/26/66/71, which will provide a stable connection for users. In addition, the smartwatch will be equipped with NFC, Bluetooth 5.3 LE and Wi-Fi 802.11n technologies.
Another important detail is charging. The Galaxy Watch 8 supports charging speeds of up to 10W, and it will use Samsung's familiar EP-OL300 wireless charger, which will probably be included in the box.
As for the battery, the new model will have a 435 mAh battery, which is a few mAh more than the previous Galaxy Watch 7 model. In addition, a Galaxy Watch 8 Classic version will be released, which will likely bring back the physical rotating bezel, a feature that many users find particularly convenient.
As for the possible Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, there is no information about its release at the moment. However, SamMobile has recently received information from an insider that the launch may still take place this year.
Nevertheless, it is expected that new Galaxy Watch models will be presented in July along with new foldable Samsung smartphones. According to insiders, the company plans to hold a Galaxy Unpacked event in early July 2025. According to The JoongAng, the event will take place in New York, USA, in early July. Last year, the Galaxy Flip 6 and Galaxy Fold 6 were unveiled on 10 July, so this year's date may be even earlier.
