MediaTek has unveiled its flagship Dimensity 9400e processor with support for cameras up to 320MP and high performance
MediaTek has unveiled its new flagship Dimensity 9400e processor, which occupies an intermediate place between Dimensity 9400 and 9400+.
Here's What We Know
The Dimensity 9400e is built on TSMC's third-generation 4nm process and utilises the All Big Core architecture, which includes:
- 1 Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.4GHz,
- 3 Cortex-X4 cores clocked at 2.85 GHz,
- 4 Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz.
The 12-core Immortalis-G720 MC12, which supports hardware ray tracing, is responsible for graphics processing. In AnTuTu tests, the processor scores up to 2.5 million points, making it one of the most powerful chips on the market.
The Dimensity 9400e supports Wi-Fi 7 at up to 7.3Gbps and Bluetooth 6.0 with a range of up to 5km in line of sight, as well as 5G networks including sub-6GHz and mmWave.
The processor works with LPDDR5X (up to 8533 MHz) and UFS 4.0 storage for fast data loading and high system responsiveness.
The Dimensity 9400e supports cameras up to 320MP and video recording in 8K 30 fps or 4K 60 fps. Support for WQHD 180Hz and 4K 120Hz screens is also claimed.
The chipset features the NeuroPilot SDK and NPU 790, allowing you to work with large language models (e.g. DeepSeek-R1-Distill, Llama 7B, Llama 8B) directly on the device. For gaming, there is MediaTek Adaptive Gaming Technology (MAGT 2.0) and MFRC 2.0+ frame rate converter, which reduces power consumption by up to 40 per cent.
It is already known that OnePlus Ace5 Racing Edition and Realme GT 7 smartphones will be the first devices based on Dimensity 9400e, their release is expected in May.
