Ubisoft announced the first Claws of Awaji story add-on for Assassin's Creed Shadows a long time ago, but its release date is still unknown. However, insider Tom Henderson found out when to expect its release and let his readers know (and we're passing it on to ours).

Here's What We Know

According to Henderson, the Diversification instead of bankruptcy: Ubisoft and Tencent set up a joint company to acquire the rights to Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and other franchises and the transfer of rights to Assassin's Creed will not affect Shadows support in any way, and Claws of Awaji will be released as planned in September.

However, the insider does not rule out that Ubisoft can make adjustments to the global strategy of releasing their games and add-ons to them and DLC for Shadows will be postponed until October.

Recall, according to the plot of DLC Naoe and Yasuke will go to the mysterious island of Awaji to find a lost treasure. They will be hunted by Sanzoku Ippa and will have to fight for survival, avoiding deadly traps and ambushes set by their enemies.

Claws of Awaji will offer more than 10 hours of content, additional equipment items and several abilities. The main new addition will be a new weapon - the staff of Bo.

Everyone who pre-ordered Assassin's Creed Shadows will get the DLC for free.
