We already reported that on the 25th of June we are expecting the release of a new smartphone Fairphone 6, which will not be able to compete with the top gadgets from the market leaders, but it is ideal for eco-activists and everyone who cares about the environment.

The main feature of all Fairphone models is the modular design, in which it is possible to replace all the main components: battery, cameras, USB port, display, speakers and so on, and the user can do it himself with a screwdriver. There are 10 replaceable components available in the new model!

And thanks to the German portal WinFuture became known and the technical specifications of Fairphone 6.

Here's What We Know

Fairphone 6 will get a 6.31″LTPO P-OLED display with up to 90Hz, Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip and a dual 50MP camera, including one with an ultra-wide lens. The 4400mAh battery supports wired charging up to 33W. The Fairphone 6 will get 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage.

The smartphone comes with Android 13, but the Fairphone 6 will update to Android 15 in the future.

The manufacturer promises up to 8 years of support and these are not empty words as, for example, the previous Fairphone model came out in 2023 and it has software support until 2031.

Fairphone uses the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i display coating to provide long-term protection against scratches and bumps.

The price of the Fairphone 6 in Europe starts at €699.

The Dutch manufacturer's idea aims to be environmentally friendly by using the gadget for many years and, as a result, reducing waste from production.
