Google will unveil the Pixel 10 line of smartphones in August, but as it became known, the American tech giant is already working on the Pixel 12 and has given the smartphones in this series unusual names.
Here's What We Know
The Telegram channel Mystic Leaks published insider information, according to which Google has already assigned code names to the new devices and this time they are related to primates.
As always, Google is preparing a standard line-up: a base model, two Pro versions and a foldable Pixel Fold, which received the following names:
- Pixel 12 - Galago (a small nocturnal primate);
- Pixel 12 Pro - Sasquatch (aka Bigfoot - a massive semi-mythical creature);
- Pixel 12 Pro XL - Silverback (an adult male gorilla);
- Pixel 12 Pro Fold - Capuchin (an agile and agile monkey).
This isn't the first time Google has used zoological code names: there have already been birds, cats and dogs.
