Players participating in Battlefield Labs testing have reported receiving a major new update. It brings support for Nvidia's advanced DLSS 4 technology and, most interestingly, hints of a possible Battle Royale mode.

Here's What We Know

According to Reddit user NSGXD, the update weighs as much as 13 GB. One of the most important new features is the support for Nvidia DLSS 4, which promises a significant improvement in performance and image quality for owners of Nvidia cards. Players have also noticed that the watermark on the game's screen has changed from "Pre-Alpha" to simply "Alpha", which is a clear signal of progress in development.

Although Electronic Arts has not yet confirmed the details of the update, references to the Battle Royale mode have already been found in the game's files.

Interestingly, Andy McNamara, the global senior director of integrated communications for Battlefield at EA, hinted at an imminent announcement earlier this week. When asked if the game would be revealed in June, he replied: "The community will know when the announcement is made. We are focused on Labs and preparing for a summer announcement."

During the current playtests, EA CEO Andrew Wilson expressed more optimism about the release of Battlefield 6 amid the postponement of Grand Theft Auto 6 to 2026.
