Sales of the Škoda Kushaq crossover, the first Škoda model to be produced in Vietnam from CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kits. This is a production method in which the vehicle is delivered as individual parts and sub-assemblies for final assembly in the country of import.

Here's What We Know

CKD kits for the Kushaq are brought to Vietnam from India, where the Škoda Auto plant is also located. Prior to production, the pre-production Kushaq cars were driven over 330,000 kilometres on various Vietnamese roads and underwent extensive climate testing at temperatures ranging from -10 °C to +42 °C and in high humidity.

The Skoda Kushaq is a subcompact crossover with a length of 4,225 mm and a wheelbase of 2,651 mm. In Vietnam, the model is available in two configurations with a 1.0 TSI 115bhp turbo petrol engine. The gearbox is a six-speed automatic. Prices start from VND 599 million (about US$23,000 or €19,500).

Since Škoda entered the Vietnamese market in September 2023, it has opened 15 dealerships, including the new Experience Centre concept showroom in Hanoi. Further expansion of the network is planned for this year.

In addition to the Kushaq, Škoda's line-up in Vietnam also includes the Karoq and Kodiaq crossovers imported from Europe. Local production and sales will be expanded in the coming months with the Slavia sedan, which will also be assembled from Indian CKD kits.
