Shortly after the disappointing release of space horror The Callisto Protocol, which nevertheless attracted over 7 million players, Striking Distance Studios announced that it was cancelling several projects due to financial issues. This happened at the end of 2022 and at that time it was not reported which games were in question, and only now information about one of them has surfaced.

Here's What We Know

On his Linkedin page, former Striking Distance Studios senior technical artist Sean Hewitt indicated that he worked on the game Project Titan, which was eventually cancelled.

Recall that Project Titan was announced in 2022, which was supposed to be a game of the then-popular Battle Royale genre and in many ways could be similar to PUBG - the main representative of this genre, which publisher is also Krafton.

Striking Distance did not reveal absolutely no details about Project Titan and, as we now know, they had almost nothing to show.

It's worth noting that the Battle Royale trend has been on the decline in recent years, so the cancellation of Project Titan was rather a good decision, as the release of such a game could have led the studio to financial ruin.
